It's that time of year again.. Ramadhan is here!

And to me, Ramadhan definitely reminds me of all those yummy buka puasa buffets!

And to Chef Zam fans, take note that he will be at the Square Restaurant, Novotel Kota Kinabalu in person from 23-29th July, so make sure you go on these days if you want to catch a glimpse or maybe even say hi to him! :)

** Reviewed this place before as well, but as usual, it was in the previous foodblog, which is now deleted :(

The hubby and I just LOVE steamboat dinners, what more if they are an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet!

So for our 8th Anniversary dinner, we've decided to bring my big brother and SIL along as well; the more, the merrier, right? :)

Destination: Beijing BBQ Steamboat at Kg. Nelayan in Taman Tun Fuad, Bukit Padang!

With over 90 varieties of food (fish, prawns, crab, chicken, beef, noodles, vegetables, etc.) and priced at just RM30 per person, you can literally eat til you drop! You can also choose either Chicken flavour or Tom Yam for your soup base!

I quite like their fried noodle section; so many varieties! They have a few different types of fried noodles, but my favourite was the fried lau su fun (bottom left of photo above). They're oh-so yummy!

Their Stewed Kai Kiok (Chicken feet) are good, too! I found myself taking this and the fried lau su fun a few times!

So make sure you bring your big appetite when you come to Beijing! You won't regret it! You will definitely get your money's worth! :)

I'm sure you all have heard how amazing and popular the Buka Puasa Buffet at Tanjung Ria Cafe in Hyatt Regency Kinabalu. Some of you have even sungkai or buka puasa here every year, correct? ;)

There are not only Malay dishes being served here, but you can also find Chinese, Western and North Indian dishes as well (which is my favourite, by the way! The cheese naan topped with lamb masala sauce.. ooh, yum!)

There are over 200 dishes served, such as Hyatt's signature oxtail assam pedas, satay, ketupat, lemang, curries, roast chicken, kebab rolls, roast lamb and beef, beef noodles, burgers, ngiu chap, naan, tandoori, and so much more!

And for you seafood lovers, you simply cannot miss the seafood section like the crabs, prawns and even fish!

But for me, the main highlight for the buka puasa here at Hyatt would have to be the dessert section. There are so many colourful desserts for you to try that you can probably even come here just for their desserts!

So many choices; it's crazy!

Even I myself had to spend quite some time trying to figure out which dessert I wanted to eat! They all looked oh-so tempting!

Seriously guys, the buffet here is a must try, at least once! Trust me, you won't regret it! ;)

Buffet is priced at RM99++ for adults. You can call at the number below for inquiries or reservations.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced restaurant for sungkai (buka puasa) at a hotel in Kota Kinabalu, then you should give The Roof Restaurant at Imperial International Hotel a try.

At only RM48 Nett for adults and RM24 Nett for children, it's an All-You-Can-Eat buffet which consists of BBQ seafood and meat, to noodles to rice, as well as desserts.

And by 'Bersungkai' at The Roof Restaurant during this Ramadhan month, you will also automatically donate to the Rumah Anak Yatim Darul Bakti Kota Belud! What easier way to do your part in charity than this?

I myself had the pleasure of sampling this promo recently, and my personal absolute favourite was their BBQ Calamari! I just couldn't get enough of it! Haha..

But don't just listen to me, you should have a go at ALL the stalls available there to fully get your money's worth! ;)

I realised that I've already blogged about this in my personal blog, but I feel it's more suited in this blog, since it's a food post :)

Last week, my colleagues and I were invited to a company function: Sungkai at Hyatt KK!

The Sungkai Buffet price isn't cheap; it's RM82++, or around RM95nett per person!

BUT... trust me, the food selection will blow you away! There are so many to choose from!

Some of the dessert choices; there are more, it's crazy!

This is my Round 1 (of 6), teehee!

My colleagues' first round, muahaha!

You know how most people stop eating only after 2 rounds? As for me, I went up to 6 rounds, and STILL didn't get to try all the food!! Crazy!

But I just LOVE the cheese naan, together with the lamb masala!! It was sooooooooo gooooood!!

So to those of you who haven't tried any of the Sungkai Buffets yet, perhaps you can give the one at Hyatt a try huh?
